In this blog we attempt to create a visual history of a main southern Kentucky Thornton branch, descended from Scots-Irish Thorntons who may have arrived in Pennsylvania in the mid-1700s. Winnie Carene Thornton

Carene Thornton was born May 5, 1929, to Jesse Benton and Susie Cooper Thornton in Warren County, KY. She married Cloyd Copas and had two sons: Allen and Rodney.
